Abs Solenoid Relay (1998 Tercel)

  1. Remove ABS relay. See Figure. Using a DVOM, check continuity at specified terminals. Continuity should exist between terminals No. 1 and 6 (80 ohms). Continuity should exist between terminals No. 3 and 5. Continuity should not exist between terminals No. 2 and 5. See Fig 1. If continuity is not as specified, replace relay.
  2. Using fused jumper wire, connect positive battery terminal to relay terminal No. 1. Connect negative battery terminal to relay terminal No. 6. Continuity should exist between relay terminals No. 2 and 5. Continuity should not exist between relay terminals No. 3 and 5. If continuity is not as specified, replace relay. Disconnect battery from relay.
