- To reassemble, reverse disassembly procedure. Right axle shaft dust cover must be located 3.39-3.43" (86.0-87.0 mm) from end of shaft (splined end).
- Clearance between center drive shaft dust cover and bearing should be .04" (1.0 mm). See Figure. Locate damper on right axle shaft. See Figure. Distance should be 7.68-8.07" (195.0-205.0 mm).
- On all models, ensure boots are not collapsed or stretched. Set axle shaft to standard length. See AXLE SHAFT LENGTH SPECIFICATIONSΒ table. Pack inboard joint tulip and boot with Yellow grease supplied with boot kit. Pack outboard joint and boot with Black grease supplied with kit. See BOOT GREASE CAPACITYΒ for amounts. Install and tighten boot clamps.
