Piston Rings

1997 Toyota Previa DX, RWDSECTION Piston Rings
  1. Ensure ring end gap and side clearance are within specification. See PISTONS, PINS & RINGSΒ  under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS.
    CAUTION: No. 1 compression ring contains a 1N identification mark and No. 2 compression ring contains a 2N identification mark stamped on top of compression ring. Ensure compression rings are installed in correct location.
  2. Ensure identification marks on compression rings are toward top of piston. Position piston ring end gaps at designated areas. See Fig 1.
