  1. Check hoses and tubes for cracks, kinks, damage, or loose connections. Check Air Suction (AS) system cold operation. See Figure.
  2. Ensure coolant temperature is less than 77°F (25°C). Start engine and allow to idle. Disconnect air hose from air pipe. See Figure. Check for air bubbling noise from air pipe.
  3. Check hot system operation. When engine temperature is at normal operating temperature, bubbling noise should not be heard from air pipe. Race engine to 2000 RPM and quickly close throttle. Ensure bubbling noise stops momentarily.
