Lower Control Arm & Ball Joint(CAMRY): Removal

- Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheels. Disconnect lower ball joint from steering knuckle. Remove stabilizer nut holding stabilizer bar to lower control arm. Remove lower control arm shaft nut attaching lower control arm shaft to lower control arm. See Fig 1.
- Remove suspension crossmember. Remove lower control arm shaft mounting nut and bolt. Remove lower control arm and lower control arm shaft as an assembly.
- Install lower control arm in a vise. Remove ball joint cotter pin and nut. Using ball joint Remover (09628-62011), remove ball from lower control arm.
