Celica and Supra vehicles are equipped with a driver's side air bag, use extreme caution while servicing steering column. Ensure ignition switch is in LOCK position and battery negative terminal is disconnected for at least 20 seconds before attempting any repair. DO NOTΒ
apply electrical power to any component on steering column without disconnecting air bag control unit or system may be activated. All air bag system connectors are color coded YELLOW for identification. Use only volt/ohmmeter with minimum of 10 k/ohm impedance to check ANY circuit.
