Fender Support - Front - LH - Remove and Replace: Install

2018 Tesla Model 3 BaseSECTION Install
  1. Install the bolts (x3) that attach the LH front fender support to the vehicle.

      Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

      35 N.m (25.8 lbs-ft)Β 

    • 10 mm socket
    • Ratchet/torque wrench

  2. Install the bolt that attaches the LH front fender support to the front fender assembly.

      Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

      9.8 N.m (7.2 lbs-ft)Β 

    • 10 mm socket
    • Ratchet/torque wrench

  3. Install the bolt that attaches the LH front fender support to the front end carrier.

    16 N.m (11.8 lbs-ft)Β 

      Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:

    • 13 mm socket
    • 3 in extension
    • Ratchet/torque wrench

  4. Route the front harness through the LH fender support, and secure the harness to the fender support.

  5. Connect the LH front ride height sensor connector.

  6. Connect the LH front wheel speed sensor connector.

  7. Install the front harness clips (x3) around the LH front wheel liner area.
    NOTE:

    American region vehicles have 2 clips.

  8. Install the clips (x3) that attach the front harness to the LH crush can.

  9. Connect the front harness from the LH acceleration sensor.

  10. Connect the connectors (x2) to the horn assembly.

  11. Connect the front harness connector for the LH front carrier harness.

  12. Connect the cooling fan module connector.

  13. Install the front harness clips (x2) around the LH headlamp area.

  15. Install the front fascia. See Fascia - Front - Remove and InstallΒ 
  16. Connect 12V power. See 12V/LV POWER - DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
