Spilling the CVT fluid on the exhaust system components may cause fire and personal injury. When changing the CVT fluid, be sure to observe the following precautions:
- Check the engine is at a stop.
- Do not carry out the CVT fluid filling operation over the exhaust system components so as not to adhere the CVT fluid on the exhaust system components even if you spill the CVT fluid.
- Be sure to remove the CVT fluid on the exhaust system components thoroughly after the exhaust manifold cools down if you spill the CVT fluid on the exhaust system components.
