DTC P0871 TROUBLESHOOTING CHART

Step Action YES NO
Was "CVT System Check" performed?  Go to Step 2. Go to CVT SYSTEM CHECK .
Sensor power supply check 
  1. Turn off ignition switch and disconnect solenoid connector.
  2. Check for proper terminal connection to solenoid connector.
  3. If connections are OK, turn ignition switch to ON position.
  4. Check that voltage between sensor power supply circuit (B1) and vehicle body ground is 5 V.

Is it in good condition? 
Go to Step 3. Repair or replace defective wire harness.
Primary pressure sensor and its circuit check 
  1. Check primary pressure sensor and its circuit according to Step 3 through 4 of DTC P0842/P0843 .

Are they in good condition? 
Go to Step 4. Repair or replace defective parts.
Secondary pressure sensor and its circuit check 
  1. Check secondary pressure sensor and its circuit according to Step 3 through 4 of DTC P0847/P0848 .

Are they in good condition? 
Go to Step 5. Repair or replace defective parts.
Stall test 
  1. Perform stall test. See Stall Test 

Is it in good condition? 
Substitute a known-good TCM and recheck. Replace primary pressure sensor / secondary pressure sensor (valve body assembly).
