DTC detecting condition Trouble area
DTC P0721: Output Speed Sensor Circuit Range/Performance 
This DTC is detected if all of the following conditions are met.
  • Difference between measured engine speed and the estimated secondary pulley speed is more than 1000 RPM for 5 sec. when lock-up ON.
  • Difference between measured primary pulley speed and the estimated secondary pulley speed is more than 1000 RPM for 5 sec. when lock-up ON.

(2 D/C detection logic)
  • Secondary pulley speed sensor and/or its circuit
  • Primary pulley speed sensor and/or its circuit
  • TCM
