Oil Pump Assembly Removal and Installation: Installation
Reference: OIL PUMP ASSEMBLY DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY
- Install oil pump (2) and baffle plate to lower crank case (1) and tighten bolts to specified torque.NOTE: When installing oil pump, be careful not to allow pins to fall off.
Tightening torque
Oil pump mounting bolt (a): 25 N.m (2.5 kg-m, 18.5 lbf-ft)
Baffle plate bolt (M6 bolt): 11 N.m (1.1 kg-m, 8.5 lbf-ft)
Baffle plate bolt (M10 bolt): 55 N.m (5.6 kg-m, 40.5 lbf-ft)
- Install oil pump sprocket cover (1), and tighten bolts to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Oil pump sprocket cover bolt (a): 11 N.m (1.1 kg-m, 8.5 lbf-ft)
- Install oil pan and oil pump strainer. See OIL PAN AND OIL PUMP STRAINER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Refill engine with engine oil. See ENGINE OIL AND FILTER CHANGE .
- Connect negative cable at battery.
- Verify that there is no oil leakage and exhaust gas leakage at each connection.
- After completing installation, check oil pressure by running engine. Refer to OIL PRESSURE CHECK .
