Preliminary Procedure 
Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to INFLATABLE RESTRAINT STEERING WHEEL MODULE REPLACEMENT .
1 Steering Wheel Nut
CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .

Tightening torque 
37 N.m (27 lb ft) 
2 Steering Wheel
Procedure 
  1. Disconnect any electrical connectors as needed.
  2. Remove the steering wheel using puller J 1859-A and puller legs J 42578.
  3. Make an alignment mark to note the relationship between the steering wheel and the steering shaft. The marks will be needed to align the wheel during installation.
