CALLOUT AND COMPONENT NAME REFERENCE

Callout Component Name
1 Shift Control Knob Boot.
  1. Depress the sides of the boot in order to release the boot from the instrument panel lower brace bezel.
  2. Lift the boot up in order to access the shift control knob screw.
2 Shift Control Knob Screw.
CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .

Tightening torque 
Tighten the screw to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in)  .
Tip:  Loosen the shift control knob screw approximately 4-5 turns. It is not necessary to fully remove the screw from the shift control knob.
3 Shift Control Knob.
Tip:  Remove the shift control boot if replacing the knob. Refer to TRANSMISSION CONTROL BOOT REPLACEMENT .
