NOTE:
  • T (Transmitting): When two or more control modules start transmission at the same time, control module transmitting the highest priority information gets transmission right and all other control modules enter reception mode.
  • R (Receiving): All control modules connected with CAN communication lines receive all information CAN communication line. Each control module selects only what is necessary and use it for its control function.
  • *: ECM, using wheel speed signal transmitted from ABS/ESP® control module, calculates and determines vehicle speed and transmit that information to each control module.

When to See a Mechanic

Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

  • You smell fuel, burning insulation, or see smoke.
  • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
  • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
  • You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
  • You are not confident in the next step or safety outcome.
