Reference:Β FRONT DISC BRAKE PAD REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONΒ 

Check pad lining (1) for wear. When the wear exceeds limit, replace with new one.

CAUTION: If the brake pad lining is polished with sandpaper, abrading particles will be embedded in the lining and will damage the brake disc. Do not polish a rough pad lining with sandpaper. Replace the pad with a new one.
