Brake System Description

2013 Suzuki Kizashi Sport GTS, FWDSECTION Brake System Description
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Suzuki Kizashi. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

When the brake pedal is depressed, hydraulic pressure is developed in the brake master cylinder to actuate pistons in the front and rear brake calipers (two in front and two in rear).

The brake master cylinder is a tandem master cylinder. The master cylinder and the brake pipes connected to it form two independent circuits - one is connected to the front right and rear left brakes and the other is connected to the front left and rear right brakes.
