  1. Disable the SIR. Refer to SIR DISABLING AND ENABLING .
  2. Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to STEERING COLUMN TRIM COVERS REPLACEMENT .
  3. Program the theft deterrent control module after replacement. Refer to CONTROL MODULE REFERENCES .
