Generator Disassembly and Reassembly: Disassembly
2012 Suzuki Kizashi Sport GTS, 4WDSECTION Disassembly
- For easier reassembly, draw matchmark (1) on drive end frame and stator assembly as shown in figure.
- Loosen rear end cover nuts (1) and remove rear end cover (2) from stator assembly.
- Remove terminal bushing (3).
- Loosen brush holder screws (1) and remove brush holder assembly (3) from stator assembly (2).
- Loosen stator assembly bolts (4).
- Remove rotor assembly (2) from stator assembly (1) and remove wave washer (3).
- Hold rotor (1) by using vise (2) via clean cloth (5) and aluminum plate (6), loosen pulley nut (3) and remove pulley (4).CAUTION: The rotor may be damaged if it is not held in a vise in the specified method and at the indicated parts when loosening the pulley nut. Be sure to hold the rotor in the vise via a clean cloth and aluminum plate at the iron parts (7). Never hold the rotor at other parts (8).
