DTC TROUBLESHOOTING CHART

Step Action YES NO
Was "CVT System Check" performed?  Go to Step 2. Go to CVT SYSTEM CHECK .
DTC check 
  1. Check DTC related to CAN communication.

Is there any CAN-DTC(s) detected? 
Go to troubleshooting for applicable DTC. Go to Step 3.
DTC check of BCM 
  1. Check DTC of BCM, see DTC CHECK .

Is there any DTC(s)? 
Go to troubleshooting for applicable DTC. Go to Step 4.
Shift switch circuit check 
  1. Confirm that ignition mode of keyless push start system is "OFF".
  2. Connect SUZUKI scan tool to DLC.
  3. Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "ON".
  4. Check that following items are normal condition by using SUZUKI scan tool, when shifting select lever ("P", "R", "N", "D") to each range, see SCAN TOOL DATA .
    • Shift Down SW
    • Shift Up SW
    • Manual Mode SW

Are they in good condition? 
Check for intermittent trouble, see INTERMITTENT CONNECTION AND POOR CONTACT INSPECTION . Go to Step 5.
Manual mode shift switch circuit check 
  1. Push engine switch to change ignition mode to "OFF".
  2. Disconnect "E19", "E20" and "G102" connectors.
  3. If connections are OK, check the following points.
    • Resistance between each of "A1", "A2" and "A3" circuits and ground: infinity
    • Resistance between each of "A1", "A2" and "A3" circuit terminals and each terminal at "G102" connector: infinity

Are they in good condition? 
Repair or replace defective wire harness. Go to Step 4.
Manual mode shift switch check 
  1. Check manual mode shift switch, see MANUAL MODE SHIFT SWITCH INSPECTION .

Is it in good condition? 
Substitute a known-good TCM and recheck DTC, see TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM) REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION . Replace manual mode shift switch (select lever assembly), see SELECT LEVER ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
