A/C Compressor Inspection
Magnet Clutch Resistance Inspection
Using ohmmeter (2), measure resistance of starter coil between clutch lead wire (1) and A/C compressor body.
If check result is not as specified, replace magnet clutch assembly.
Specified resistance of magnet clutch
Approx. 3.2 - 4.3 Ohms at 20 °C (68 °F)

Clearance Between Armature Plate and Magnet Clutch Inspection
- Check clearance "a" between armature plate (2) and magnet clutch pulley (3) using feeler gauge (1).
- If check result is not as specified, adjust clearance by putting shim(s) on A/C compressor shaft.
Standard clearance between armature plate and magnet clutch
"a": 0.3 - 0.6 mm (0.002 - 0.024 in.)
