Cruise Control Switch Inspection

CAUTION: Never disassemble cruise control switch. If it is found faulty, replace it with new one.

1. Remove driver air bag (inflator) module.
2. Disconnect cruise control switch connector (1) from contact coil.
3. Check resistance between "G165-5" and "G165-6" terminals under each condition below.
If check result is not as specified, replace steering wheel.

Cruise control switch resistance
All switches released (OFF): 1920.6 - 2039.4 ohms
MAIN (ON/OFF) switch (2) pressed (ON): Less than 1 ohm
CANCEL switch (3) pressed (ON): 97 - 103 ohms
SET/COAST switch (4) pressed (ON): 378.3 - 401.7 ohms
RES/ACC switch (5) pressed (ON): 756.6 - 803.4 ohms
