Callout Component Name
CAUTION: The new SIR coil assembly will be centered. Improper alignment of the SIR coil assembly may damage the unit, causing an inflatable restraint malfunction.
Preliminary Procedures 
  1. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to STEERING WHEEL REPLACEMENT .
  2. Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to STEERING COLUMN TRIM COVERS REPLACEMENT .
1 Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Bolts (Qty: 4)
CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .

Tightening torque 
1.5 N.m (13 lb in). 
2 Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil
Procedure 
  1. Disconnect any electrical connectors as needed.
  2. A new inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil will be equipped with a yellow tab that should be removed after the steering wheel is installed.
