- Turn the ignition OFF.
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM (LY7 GE 47716 FILL) and DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM (LY7 STATIC FILL) .
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
- Disconnect the coolant heater cord from the coolant heater.
- Remove the coolant heater.
