2005 Suzuki Swift +SECTION Installation Procedure

  1. Install a new brake pedal cover, if needed.
  2. Coat the pedal shaft with grease.
  3. Position the brake pedal on the pedal-to-dash panel bracket and the pedal shaft.
  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Place the nut on the pedal mounting shaft.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the brake pedal-to-pedal bracket nut to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  6. Install the pushrod to the pedal with the pin and the retaining ring.

  8. Install the spring on the shaft in its original position.
  9. Connect the stop lamp switch and the connector assembly by twisting it into the pedal bracket.

  11. Install the trim panel with the screws.

    Tighten:Β  Tighten the trim panel screws to 7 N.m (62 lb in).
