This vehicle is equipped with EVAP leak check module for evaporative emission leakage check. (For more details, refer to "EVAP LEAK CHECK SYSTEM DESCRIPTIONΒ  ".)

ECM performs evaporative emission leak check by operating the EVAP leak detecting pump in EVAP leak check module.

This leak check is performed approximately five hours after the ignition switch turned off.

During this leak check, it may hear sound (motor or pump) coming from some components for several minutes. This sound is normal and it does not indicate a malfunction.
