Bench Testing: Stator

2001 Suzuki Grand Vitara JLS, StandardSECTION Stator
  1. To test stator for an open circuit, use ohmmeter to check for continuity between each electrical lead on stator. See Fig 1 .
  2. Continuity should exist between all electrical leads. Replace stator if no continuity exists between any electrical leads. See OVERHAUL  .
  3. To test stator for a grounded circuit, use ohmmeter to check for continuity between each electrical lead on stator and the outside of the stator. See Fig 1 . Replace stator if continuity exists between any electrical lead and the outside of the stator. See OVERHAUL  .
