Clutch Pedal Position Switch
2001 Suzuki Esteem GLX, 4D Sedan, StandardSECTION Clutch Pedal Position Switch
- Apply parking brake firmly. Place gearshift lever in "N" position. Disconnect Clutch Pedal Position (CPP) switch connector. Loosen lock nut and turn switch outward. Depress clutch pedal to floor. Release clutch pedal to .6-1.0" (15-25 mm) from floor.
- Connect ohmmeter to CPP switch terminals. Slowly screw switch in until continuity is present. Tighten lock nut. Ensure clutch pedal is fully depressed against floor. Switch plunger should have .02-.04" (.5-1.0 mm) of travel left. This will protect switch from damage due to bottoming out internally. Reconnect clutch start switch connector.
