Throttle Switch (Swift SOHC M/T)
Throttle switch consists of 2-contact points (idle switch and wide open switch) connected to throttle valve shaft on throttle body and detects throttle valve opening. Throttle opening during idle is detected by idle switch which turns on at idle. Wide open throttle is detected by wide open throttle switch which turns on during wide open throttle. By monitoring on/off signals, ECM detects throttle valve opening. ECM uses on/off signals from throttle switch to help determine control of fuel injector, Idle Speed Control (ISC) solenoid, shift-up indicator light and EGR vacuum switching valve.
