Select Cable: Removal

2022 Subaru Impreza Base, 4D Sedan, Automatic CVT TransSECTION Removal
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
    NOTE:

    For the hybrid model, disconnect the battery negative terminal.Β 

  2. Release the shift lock using a screwdriver, etc. and shift the select lever to the "N" range.

  3. Lift up the vehicle.
  4. Remove the center exhaust cover.

  5. Remove the inhibitor cover. (Crosstrek hybrid model)

  6. Disconnect the select cable from the transmission main body.
    CAUTION:

    Do not apply excessive load while holding the part (a).Β

  7. Disconnect the cable from arm COMPL.
    CAUTION:

    Do not apply excessive load while holding the part (a).Β

  8. Raise the claw of clamp to remove the cable from bracket.

  9. Remove the select cable from the cable plate.
