DTC P1CD9-00: Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module Processor And Monitoring Processor Charging Permission Signal Stuck On: Notes

Outline of diagnosis:
Even though the charger gate permission signal was not output from Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly, the answer-back signal from Electric vehicle charger assembly was detected (1 trip detection logic)
Trouble symptom:
Plug-in charging suspended

Read the following DTCs using Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to P-HEV HYBRID POWERTRAIN CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) . Ref. to PLUG-IN BATTERY CHARGER (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

When DTCs related to [P-HEV Hybrid Powertrain Control] mentioned above are simultaneously displayed, go to B.
When DTCs related to [Plug-in Battery Charger] mentioned above are simultaneously displayed, go to C.
Yes:
- Go to 2.
- Perform the diagnosis for the simultaneously displayed DTCs.NOTE:
If more than one DTC is simultaneously displayed, perform the diagnosis in the order described in the above.
- Perform the diagnosis for the simultaneously displayed DTCs.NOTE:
If more than one DTC is simultaneously displayed, perform the diagnosis in the order described in the above.
No:

- CHECK CONNECTION CONDITION OF CONNECTOR (Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly CONNECTOR)
.
Check the connecting condition of connector (i369) in Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly and check the relevant terminals for contact pressure, deformation and intrusion of water or foreign matter. Ref. to HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE>HYBRID POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE .
Is there looseness at the connector connection, or any poor contact, deformation or intrusion of water or foreign matters at the relevant terminals?
Yes:
Connect the connector securely. Or repair the poor contact of connector.
No:
Go to 3.
- CHECK CONNECTION CONDITION OF CONNECTOR (Electric vehicle charger assembly CONNECTOR)
.CAUTION:
Make sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles during the work.
- Check that the Service plug is disconnected. Ref. to HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE>SERVICE PLUG .
- Check the connecting condition of connector (HV31) in Electric vehicle charger assembly and check the relevant terminals for contact pressure, deformation and intrusion of water or foreign matters.
Is there looseness at the connector connection, or any poor contact, deformation or intrusion of water or foreign matters at the relevant terminals?
Yes:
Connect the connector securely. Or repair the poor contact of connector.
No:
Go to 4.
- CHECK Wire harness AND CONNECTOR (Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly - Electric vehicle charger assembly) (SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY)
.CAUTION:
Make sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles during the work.
- Disconnect Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector (i369).
- Disconnect Electric vehicle charger assembly connector (HV31).
- Connect the Battery (12V) ground terminal. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Turn to IG ON.
- Using a tester, measure the voltage between Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector and chassis ground.

(i369) No. 23 (+) - Chassis ground (-):
Is the voltage 1 V or less?
Yes:
Go to 5.
No:
Repair or replace the Wire harness between Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector and chassis ground.
- CHECK Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly
.CAUTION:
Make sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles during the work.
- Turn the ignition to OFF.
- Disconnect the ground terminal of Battery (12V). Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Connect the connector (i369) of Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly.
- Turn to IG ON.
- Using a tester, measure the voltage between Electric vehicle charger assembly connector and chassis ground.
Connector and terminal
(HV31) No. 1 (+) - Chassis ground (-):
Is the voltage 1 V or less?
Yes:
Replace Electric vehicle charger assembly. Ref. to HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE>ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGER .
No:
Replace Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly. Ref. to HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE>HYBRID POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE .
