DTC P1C86-79: Transmission (Input) Mechanical Linkage Failure: Notes

Outline of diagnosis:
Transaxle system fault (input system lock)
Engine cranking was commanded while the vehicle was stopped; however, the generator did not rotate
Generator or engine does not rotate, or fault of planetary gear
(1 trip detection logic)
Trouble symptom:
- Reduced output power
- A driving range is limited
- Engine always stopped
CAUTION:- Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to P-HEV HYBRID POWERTRAIN CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
- When this DTC is displayed, engine seizure or transaxle gear seizure may have occurred. Therefore, check the amount of the engine oil, ATF, rear differential gear oil and coolant before the inspection.

When to See a Mechanic
