EBD Warning Light, Abs Warning, VDC Off Indicator Light, VDC Warning Light And VDC Indicator Light Do Not Come On

2022 Subaru Impreza Base, 4D Sedan, Automatic CVT TransSECTION EBD Warning Light, Abs Warning, VDC Off Indicator Light, VDC Warning Light And VDC Indicator Light Do Not Come On

Detecting condition: 

Defective combination meter

Trouble symptom: 

When the ignition switch is turned to ON (engine OFF), brake warning light (EBD warning light), ABS warning light, VDC OFF indicator light, and VDC warning light and VDC indicator light do not illuminate.

NOTE:

When pressing the VDC OFF switch for 30 seconds or more, the VDC OFF indicator light goes off and cannot operate any more. When turning the ignition switch from OFF to ON, the OFF operation enabled status is restored. 

  1. CHECK OTHER INDICATOR LIGHT  .

    Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    Immediately after the ignition switch is turned to ON, do all the indicator lights for VDC system and others illuminate?

    Yes:  Go to  2.

    No:  Check the combination meter. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>COMBINATION METER SYSTEM>OPERATION>SELF-DIAGNOSIS DISPLAY MODE .

  2. CHECK VDCCM  .

    Using the Subaru Select Monitor, read data of [EBD Warning Light] in the [Data Monitor] of [Brake Control] while the engine is not running. Ref. to BRAKE CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .

    Immediately after the ignition switch is turned to ON, is the [EBD Warning Light] set to [ON]?

    Yes:  Go to  3.

    No:  Replace the VDCCM and H/U. Ref. to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDCCM AND H/U) .

  3. CHECK VDCCM  .

    Using the Subaru Select Monitor, read data of [ABS Warning Lamp] in the [Data Monitor] of [Brake Control] while the engine is not running. Ref. to BRAKE CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .

    Immediately after the ignition switch is turned to ON, is the [ABS Warning Lamp] set to [ON]?

    Yes:  Go to  4.

    No:  Replace the VDCCM and H/U. Ref. to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDCCM AND H/U) .

  4. CHECK VDCCM  .

    Using the Subaru Select Monitor, read data of [VDC-OFF Light] in the [Data Monitor] of [Brake Control] while the engine is not running. Ref. to BRAKE CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .

    Immediately after the ignition switch is turned to ON, is the [VDC-OFF Light] set to [ON]?

    Yes:  Go to  5.

    No:  Replace the VDCCM and H/U. Ref. to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDCCM AND H/U) .

  5. CHECK VDCCM  .

    Using the Subaru Select Monitor, read data of [VDC Warning Lamp] in the [Data Monitor] of [Brake Control] while the engine is not running. Ref. to BRAKE CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .

    Immediately after the ignition switch is turned to ON, is the [VDC Warning Lamp] set to [ON]?

    Yes:  Check the combination meter. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>COMBINATION METER SYSTEM>OPERATION>SELF-DIAGNOSIS DISPLAY MODE .

    No:  Replace the VDCCM and H/U. Ref. to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDCCM AND H/U) .
