Backup Battery

2022 Subaru Impreza Base, 4D Sedan, Automatic CVT TransSECTION Backup Battery
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
    NOTE:

    For the hybrid model, disconnect the battery negative terminal. 

  2. Remove the data communication module. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>DATA COMMUNICATION MODULE>REMOVAL>DATA COMMUNICATION MODULE .
  3. Remove the backup battery.
    1. Remove the cap screw, and then remove the battery cover.

      Preparation tool: 

      TORX® T10

    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the backup battery.
