Oil Level Switch: Installation

2016 Subaru Legacy 2.5iSECTION Installation
  1. Install the oil level switch, and install the clip (A) to the oil pan upper.
    NOTE:
    • Use new O-rings.
    • Apply a coat of engine oil to the O-rings.

    Tightening torque:Β 

    6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)Β

  2. Attach the clip (A) securing the harness, and connect the connector of the oil level switch to the engine harness.

  3. Install the under cover. < Ref. to INSTALLATION , Front Under Cover. >
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. < Ref. to BATTERY , NOTE, Repair Contents. >
  6. Fill engine oil. < Ref. to REPLACEMENTΒ , Engine Oil. >
