Fuel Flap

2016 Subaru Legacy 2.5iSECTION Fuel Flap
  1. Open the fuel flap and remove the fuel filler cap.
  2. Turn the fuel filler pipe protector in the direction of the arrow to unlock and remove it.

  3. Remove the trim panel - rear apron RH. (OUTBACK model) < Ref. to OUTBACK MODEL , REMOVAL, Rear Quarter Trim. >
  4. Remove the trim panel - trunk side RH. (Sedan model) < Ref. to REMOVAL , Trunk Room Trim. >
  5. Remove the cable assembly - fuel inside the quarter panel.
    1. Turn the cable assembly - fuel counterclockwise and pull toward vehicle rear.

  6. Disconnect the ring clips.
    CAUTION: Always replace with a new part, because engagement of the claw weakens.
