Impact Sensitivity Adjustment
2016 Subaru Legacy 2.5iSECTION Impact Sensitivity Adjustment
- Adjust the impact sensitivity.
- Connect the Subaru Select Monitor to data link connector.NOTE: For detailed operation procedures, refer to "Application help".
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- On «Start» display, select «Diagnosis».
- On «Vehicle selection» display, input the target vehicle information and select «Confirmed».
- On «Main Menu» display, select «Each System».
- On «Select System» display, select «Integ. Unit Mode» and select «Enter».
- On «Select Function» display, select «Work Support».
- On «Work Support» display, select «Impact Sensor».
- Make a «Sensitivity Adjustment Mode».
- Sensitivity can be adjusted in 11 levels (0 to 10).
- Initial setting is 5.
- Smaller number means more sensitive.
- Larger number means less sensitive.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF, and then remove the Subaru Select Monitor.NOTE:
- Set the sensor so that it is not triggered by normal vibrations (someone reclining on the door, hit by a ball, etc.).
- Set the sensor to operate the alarm when the windshield glass or door is hit hard repeatedly, etc, where it can be assumed that there is an attempt to damage the car by a burglar, etc.
- Even if there is no burglary attempt, if there is vibration (road construction, elevated parking lots, passage of trains or boarding of ferries), the alarm can be triggered. Because of this, ask the customer about their parking conditions, and set an appropriate sensitivity level after discussion.
- If the sensitivity setting was not performed properly, a buzzer will sound four times. In this case, check that there is no error in CAN communication.
- Connect the Subaru Select Monitor to data link connector.
