Front Hood Lock Assembly: Adjustment
2016 Subaru Legacy 2.5iSECTION Adjustment
- Remove the bumper face - front. < Ref. to
REMOVAL
, Front Bumper. >NOTE: Remove the bumper face - front only at the first adjustment.
- Remove the center ring clip from the lock assembly - front hood.NOTE: Remove the center ring clip only at the first adjustment.
After adjusting the lock assembly - front hood, dispose the clips since they are no longer needed.
The clips cannot be inserted because the clip holes become smaller due to adjustment. - Loosen the nuts through the adjustment window (a) of the lock assembly - front hood, and adjust the lock assembly - front hood while moving it up and down.CAUTION: After adjustment, tighten the bolts securely.
Tightening torque:Β
33 N.m (3.4 kgf-m, 24.3 ft-lb)Β
