DTC U1328 Smart System Can (KAC) Data No-Receive: Trouble Symptom

2014 Subaru Outback 2.5i, Standard TransSECTION Trouble Symptom
  • The keyless access function does not operate.
  • Communication using Subaru Select Monitor is occasionally not possible.
DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step Check Yes No
1 CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT.Β 
Check CAN communication circuit. Refer to CAN Communication Circuit CheckΒ .
Is CAN communication circuit faulty? Repair the faulty portion, following the diagnosis procedure. Go to step 2Β  .
2 CHECK DTC.Β 
  1. Start the engine.
  2. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, read DTC of CAN system.
Is U1328 a current malfunction? Go to step 3Β  . It may be a temporary poor contact. Perform the clear memory.
3 CHECK DTC.Β 
  1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
  2. Install normal body integrated unit from another vehicle with key less entry to the faulty vehicle.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
  4. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, read DTC of CAN system.
Is U1328 a current malfunction? Replace the keyless access CM. Replace the body integrated unit. Refer to REMOVAL .
