Front Exhaust Pipe: Installation
2014 Subaru Legacy 2.5i, Automatic CVT TransSECTION Installation
- Install the front oxygen (A/F) sensor and rear oxygen sensor to the front exhaust pipe. Refer to INSTALLATION and INSTALLATION .
- Install the center exhaust pipe to front exhaust pipe.NOTE: Use a new gasket.
Tightening torque:Β
35 N.m (3.6 kgf-m, 25.8 ft-lb)Β
- Install the front exhaust pipe and center exhaust pipe as a unit to the vehicle.NOTE: Use a new gasket.
- Temporarily tighten the nuts which hold front exhaust pipe to cylinder heads.
- Install the rear exhaust pipe to center exhaust pipe.NOTE: Use a new gasket.
Tightening torque:Β
18 N.m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.3 ft-lb)Β
- Tighten the bolts which secure the center exhaust pipe to the hanger bracket.
Tightening torque:Β
35 N.m (3.6 kgf-m, 25.8 ft-lb)Β
- Tighten the nuts which hold front exhaust pipe to cylinder heads.
Tightening torque: 30 N.m (3.1 kgf-m, 22.1 ft-lb)Β
- Connect the front oxygen (A/F) sensor connector (A) and rear oxygen sensor connector (B), and fasten the harness with the clip (C).
- Install the under cover. Refer to INSTALLATION .
- Lower the vehicle.
- Connect the battery ground terminal.
