- Remove the transmission assembly from the vehicle. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Automatic Transmission Assembly. >
- Remove the air breather hose. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Air Breather Hose. >
- Remove the oil pan and control valve body. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Control Valve Body. >
- Remove the transmission harness. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Transmission Harness. >
- Remove the extension case. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Extension Case. >
- Remove the rear drive shaft. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Rear Drive Shaft. >
- Remove the transfer clutch assembly. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Transfer Clutch. >
- Remove the transfer reduction driven gear assembly. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Transfer Reduction Driven Gear. >
- Remove the intermediate case. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Intermediate Case. >
- Remove the forward clutch assembly. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Forward Clutch Assembly. >
- Remove the transmission case. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Transmission Case. >
- Remove the primary pulley, secondary pulley and variator chain. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Primary Pulley and Secondary Pulley. >
- Remove the drive pinion shaft assembly. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Drive Pinion Shaft Assembly. >
- Remove the oil stopper plate and lubrication pipe.
- Flip over the converter case.
- Remove the oil pump chain cover and the oil pump chain. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Oil Pump Chain. >
- Remove the converter case cover.
- Remove the O-ring.
- Remove the seal ring from converter case cover.
- Using the ST, remove the ball bearing from the converter case cover.
- Remove the claw of ST1, and attach the claw of ST2.

- Using the ST, remove the ball bearing from the converter case cover.

- Remove the claw of ST1, and attach the claw of ST2.
