Chain Cover: Assembly

2014 Subaru Forester 2.5i, Eng CD FB25BA, Standard TransSECTION Assembly
  1. Install the sensor cover to the chain cover.
    NOTE:
    • Use new O-rings.
    • Apply a coat of engine oil to the O-rings.

    Tightening torque:Β 

    6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)Β

  2. Install the actuator cover to chain cover.
    NOTE:
    • Use new O-rings.
    • Apply a coat of engine oil to the O-rings.

    Tightening torque:Β 

    6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)Β

  3. Install the camshaft position sensor. < Ref. to INSTALLATION , Camshaft Position Sensor. >
  4. Install the oil control solenoid. < Ref. to INSTALLATION , Oil Control Solenoid. >
  5. Install the engine oil temperature sensor. < Ref. to INSTALLATION , Engine Oil Temperature Sensor. >
  6. Install the oil pressure switch. < Ref. to INSTALLATION , Oil Pressure Switch. >
  7. Install the engine oil filter and the oil pump union. < Ref. to INSTALLATION , Engine Oil Filter. >
  8. Install the oil filler cap.
