2007 Subaru Forester F4-2.5L DOHC TurboSECTION Torque Specification
Cylinder Head Bolts





Tighten all bolts to 29 Nm (3.0 kgf-m, 22 ft. lbs.) in alphabetical sequence.
Tighten all bolts to 69 Nm (7.0 kgf-m, 51 ft. lbs.) in alphabetical sequence.
Loosen all the bolts by 180° in the reverse order of tightening, and loosen them again by 180°.
Tighten all bolts to 49 Nm (5.0 kgf-m, 36 ft. lbs.) in alphabetical sequence.
Tighten all bolts by 80 to 90° in alphabetical sequence.
Tighten all bolts by 40 to 45° in alphabetical sequence.

CAUTION: Do not tighten the bolts more than 45°.

Further tighten the bolts (A) and (B) by 40 to 45°.

CAUTION: Make sure the total "re-tightening angle" of the previous step does not exceed 90°.

Camshaft Bearing Cap





Gradually tighten the camshaft cap and oil control valve assembly in at least two stages in alphabetical sequence shown in the figure, and then tighten to specified torque.

Tightening torque:
T1 10 Nm (1.0 kgf-m, 7.2 ft. lbs.)
T2 20 Nm (2.0 kgf-m, 14.5 ft. lbs.)

Exhaust Manifold 40 Nm (4.0 kgf-m, 28.9 ft. lbs.)

Connecting rod 52 Nm (5.3 kgf-m, 38.4 ft. lbs.)

Crankshaft Pulley 180 Nm (18.3 kgf-m, 132.7 ft. lbs.)

Flywheel/Flex Plate 72 Nm (7.3 kgf-m, 52.8 ft. lbs.)

Oil Pump 6.4 Nm (0.65 kgf-m, 4.7 ft. lbs.)

Water Pump

When installing the water pump, tighten the bolts in two stages in alphabetical sequence as shown in figure.
