Valve Rocker Assembly: Removal
2005 Subaru Outback i, StandardSECTION Removal
- Remove the V-belts. < Ref. to , REMOVAL , V-belt. >
- Remove the crank pulley. < Ref. to , REMOVAL , Crank Pulley. >
- Remove the timing belt cover. < Ref. to , REMOVAL , Timing Belt Cover. >
- Remove the timing belt. < Ref. to , REMOVAL , Timing Belt. >
- Remove the cam sprocket. < Ref. to , REMOVAL , Cam Sprocket. >
- Disconnect the PCV hose and remove the rocker cover.
- Removal of valve rocker assembly
- Remove the bolts (a) through (h) shown in Fig 1 in alphabetical sequence.NOTE: Leave two or three threads of bolts (g) and (h) engaged in order to retain the valve rocker assembly.
- Remove the bolts (a) through (h) shown in Fig 1 in alphabetical sequence.
