Starting/Charging Systems (H4SO): Generator: Removal

2005 Subaru Outback i, StandardSECTION Removal
  1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.

  2. Disconnect the connector and terminal from generator.
    • 2.5L Non-turbo model (U5)

  3. Remove the V-belt covers.
  4. Remove the V-belts.

    < Ref. to REMOVAL , V-belt for (H4SO model), REMOVAL , V-belt for (H4DOTC model) or REMOVAL , V-belt for (H6DO model).

  5. Remove the bolts which install the generator onto bracket.
