Valve Rocker Assembly: Removal
2004 Subaru Outback Base, 4D Wagon, EJ251, StandardSECTION Removal
- Remove V-belt. Refer to REMOVALΒ , V-BELT.
- Remove crankshaft pulley. Refer to REMOVALΒ , CRANKSHAFT PULLEY.
- Remove belt cover. Refer to REMOVALΒ , BELT COVER.
- Remove timing belt assembly. Refer to REMOVALΒ , TIMING BELT ASSEMBLY.
- Remove camshaft sprocket. Refer to REMOVALΒ , CAMSHAFT SPROCKET.
- Disconnect PCV hose and remove rocker cover.
- Removal of valve rocker assembly
- Remove bolts (a) through (h) in alphabetical sequence.NOTE: Leave two or three threads of bolts (g and h) engaged to retain valve rocker assembly.
- Remove bolts (a) through (h) in alphabetical sequence.
