Rear Gate Latch Assembly: Removal

2004 Subaru Outback Base, 4D Wagon, EJ251, StandardSECTION Removal

Disconnect ground cable from battery.
Remove the rear gate trim (lower). Refer to REMOVAL , Rear Gate Trim.
Remove the rear gate key cylinder rod.
Remove the rear gate outer handle. Refer to REMOVAL , Rear Gate Outer Handle.
Remove the three bolts.

Remove the two connectors and pull out the latch.
