Select Cable: Removal
2002 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport, AutomaticSECTION Removal
- Set the vehicle on the lift.
- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery.
- Prior to removal, set the lever to "N" position.
- Lift-up the vehicle.
- Remove the front and center exhaust pipe. (Non-turbo model) < Ref. to REMOVAL
, Front Exhaust Pipe. >CAUTION: When removing the exhaust pipes, be careful each exhaust pipe does not drop out.
- Remove the center exhaust pipe. (Turbo model) < Ref. to REMOVAL , Center Exhaust Pipe. >
- Remove the heat shield cover. (If equipped)
- Remove the snap pin from range select lever.
- Remove the plate assembly from transmission case.
- Disconnect the cable from select lever and then remove the cable bracket.
- Remove the select cable from plate assembly.
