Fuel Pump: Removal
2002 Subaru Forester BaseSECTION Removal
WARNING:
- Place "No fire" signs near the working area.
- Be careful not to spill fuel on the floor.
- Release fuel pressure. Refer to RELEASING OF FUEL PRESSUREΒ
- Open fuel filler flap lid, and remove fuel filler cap.
- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Remove the floor box located just behind the rear seats.
- Remove access hole lid.
- Disconnect connector from fuel pump.
- Move clips, and then disconnect fuel delivery hose (A), return hose (B) and jet pump hose (C).
- Disconnect quick connector, and then disconnect fuel delivery hose (A). Refer to Fuel Delivery, Return and Evaporation LinesΒ .
- Remove nuts which install fuel pump assembly onto fuel tank.
- Take off fuel pump from fuel tank.
