- Remove both heater hoses in engine compartment. See Fig 1 . Drain as much coolant from heater unit as possible, and plug disconnected hoses.
- Disconnect temperature control cable and vacuum hose from heater unit joint. Remove instrument panel. See Fig 2 . Remove evaporator (if equipped). Remove heater unit. See Fig 1 . To install, reverse removal procedure.
