The EFC control unit processes information from the input sensors and sends appropriate voltage control signals to the following engine controls:
- "CHECK ENGINE" Light (Self-Diagnostics)
- Duty Solenoid Valve (Fuel Control)
- EGR Solenoid Valve (Emission)
- Float Bowl Vent Solenoid Valve (Emission)
- Float Chamber Vent (FCV) Solenoid Valve (Emission)
- High Altitude Compensation (HAC) Solenoid Valve (Federal - Emission)
- Idle-Up Solenoid Valve (Idle Speed)
- Canister Purge Control (CPC) Solenoid (Emission)
- Self-Diagnostics (Self-Diagnostics)
